My goal was to move the bar when it comes to retention
and its impact on performance, but LIT has proved to go far beyond what I could
have ever imagined.

Our Company
LIT OnLine was born of a combination of frustration and passion. Throughout his career, Chairman Dennis Berman was plagued by the inefficiency and expense of retraining and re-communicating to the same people over and over again. He was convinced there had to be a more effective way to learn – a way that made sure people retained the key critical information that was communicated to them. Driven by his lifelong passion for learning, Dennis began researching the fields of learning and memory looking for a solution. His research culminated with the invention of the Lock-In-Thought (LIT) methodology in 2000 and the LIT e-learning platform in 2002. In 2003, the company Trivac was formed. Tested across 32 disparate industries with more than 22,000 individuals who completed over 510,000 modules, LIT has delivered incredible results. Using LIT, people retained more than 90% of new information, on average, compared to 10% retention from traditional learning and training methods. Simply put, LIT helps people remember what matters. Beginning in 2005, the company began licensing LIT to clients, and a 2008 sales call with Toni Portmann, then CEO of a global BPO company, later proved fortuitous. After using LIT at her company, Toni saw dramatic improvement in all key performance metrics. She became a passionate champion of LIT and, eventually, a natural choice to become LIT OnLine’s CEO in 2011. Recently rebranded as LIT OnLine, to better identify with its patented Lock-In-Thought methodology and simple SaaS delivery model, we are committed to helping transform organizations through the impact of retained critical knowledge. |
